So last night (9th September) my fiance (Evan) and I had our engagement party. I’m going to do two separate posts, one about what I wore/makeup and one about the venue.
Around 2pm I booked an appointment with my friend Nickie to cut and style my hair. I think she did an amazing job. My hair was blow dried straight and then curled using straighteners which was a mystery to me because I can only curl hair with a curling wand. A few Bumble and Bumble products were applied to my hair including the surf spray and I’m definitely going to look into buying some of my own. In terms of makeup I used my Maybelline Fit Me foundation, Revolution Sculpt & Contour Kit, a mix of Ted Baker lipstick and M.A.C as I didn’t have one of the colour I wanted, my Naked 3 palette, Rimmel pencil eyeliner and my Urban Decay Perversion mascara.
As I was rushing round most of the night trying to talk to people I completely forgot to get a photo of my outfit which is really annoying so I’m going to have to use one I took with my family and crop them out haha! This is because I know my mum doesn’t like herself in the photo and to be honest I’m not a huge fan of myself in the photo either but it’s the only one I have of my whole outfit. I bought the playsuit from New Look for £28 about a month ago along with the shoes that were £13 in the sale which was a bargain. They’re heels but they’re not super high compared to some of the other shoes I own so I was able to wear them comfortably the entire night. Overall this outfit came to around £38 including the 10% student discount. I wouldn’t normally spend so much on an item of clothing but I really loved this playsuit and how it was tight in all the right places plus the back is lovely. I don’t have a photo of the back which is heartbreaking.
I was so excited and happy with this outfit but the photos have really let this blog post down. I can’t believe I didn’t take any of myself! I hope you enjoyed this post regardless and I’m hoping to have the second blog post up about our engagement party within the week. 🙂
