NYX Liquid Suede review

Recently I purchased the NYX Liquid Suede in colour 03, Cherry Skies for only £7 from Boots. I was looking for a lipstick that was more of a darker red seeing as a lot of my lipsticks are more of a dark purple/red. I headed straight for NYX as they’re usually my go to when I’m skint plus they’re cruelty free!

Before applying I used my M.A.C burgundy lip pencil (I bought this last year and even though I try to only buy cruelty free makeup now I want to use up the makeup I previously bought to not waste money).

As you can see my top lip is next to non-existent so I always have to use a lip pencil so the lipstick doesn’t go everywhere. Although it’s a big trend to draw bigger lips I would rather not do that only because I’m a mess and usually my lipstick smudges within five minutes of wearing it. When I went to NYC last Christmas I drew on a slightly bigger upper lip for a day and it was a nightmare because I had to keep reapplying and I ended up looking like a clown by the end of the day.

I found when applying this cream lipstick a lot of liquid came off and made me panic cause it went everywhere. This probably isn’t an issue if you actually have lips. It dries very quickly and I loved the colour, it was exactly what I was looking for. I would say to steer clear of this product if you have dry lips because it does have quite a matte finish.

Overall, I would buy this product again and I am really glad I bought it! 😁

  1. Fab post, I love the NYX Liquid Suede lipsticks, my favourite is ‘Soft Spoken’! Just to let you know, I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award in my most recent post (I’m unsure if you’ve already done it)! ❤
